According to Dicksee, "Business refers to a form of activity conducted with an objective of earning profits for the benefit of those on whose behalf the activity is conducted."

Types of businesses

Non-Profit business: This is a type of business with charitable or educational goal rather than earning money from its services.

For-Profit business: Unlike, non-profit organizations, businesses are organizations with primary goal of making money or profit-seeking.

Mutual-Benefit business:  This is a type of business with primary focus on improvements in human and environmental as well as earning money doing so.
