Definition of Chatterbot (chatbot)

A chatbot is simply an automated service for conducting a conversation via auditory or textual methods via a chat interface. Chatbots are often developed for simulating human responses in a conversation. Such systems are widely used in dialog systems for purposes such as customer service or information acquisition. They are powered by various rules and the interactive responses are based on artificial intelligence.

Chatbot’s services could range from a number of things from functional services to fun. Some examples of chatbots can be found in major products like Facebook Messenger, Slack, and Telegram. While some chatbots are designed with sophisticated natural language processing systems, most of the widely adopted chatbots scan and identify keywords within the input and pull a reply with the most matching keyword from its database. Chatbots developed with the most sophisticated algorithms use machine learning techniques to improve their accuracy of their natural language processing capabilities. The end-users’ interaction with the chatbot helps it to leverage deep learning programming evolution and better predicts the responses while communicating with the end user.

Whereas, a ChatterBot is a Python library that makes it easy to generate automated responses to a user’s input. It is a machine learning, conversational dialog engine for creating chatbots. As it uses a selection of machine learning algorithms depending on the various types of responses they have to provide. Moreover, chatterbots are language independent, allowing it to be trained to speak any required language.

A.I. for Risk Based Testing and Production Driven Test Coverage

White Paper By: QualiTest Group

Analyzing large amounts of production data by actual users is a very good risk-based approach to testing highly complex systems based on what users actually do instead of all of the theoretical permutations of what a system may need to support. Is software testing capable of employing A.I. approaches, or will human software testers soon be bested by computers as well? This white paper...

Software vs Hardware Machine Control: Cost and Performance Compared

White Paper By: KINGSTAR
