Closing Ratio is a metrics to measure the effectiveness of sales activities. It measures the efficiency of a salesperson. The closing ratio measures the percentage of sales leads that the salesperson converts to actual sales. For example, if a salesperson makes 10 presentations in a month and closes two sales as a result, he closes 2/10ths or 20 percent of the potential sales. So the closing ratio is 20 percent. Computing the average ratio within an organization and within the territory shows how any given representative measures up.
