The winning combination of technological advancements, cheap production costs, and the Internet has connected the world through mediums like digital devices, media, and various digital marketing services. With the advent of such services, many people now socialize more via digital technologies with the use of social media platforms such as Twitter, Snapchat, Facebook, and Instagram, while organizations leverage the abundance of technology from simple email, smartphone, iPad, Skype, or powerpoint presentation to more advanced multi-media technologies for day-to-day operational needs.

Digital world is a stylistic expression to highlight the importance and hegemony of digital systems and technology in the contemporary society. People are always surrounded by images and links related to staying connected and being in the “know” through cell phones, and other devices. Young people of this generation (millennial generation) are known as the digital natives due to their heavy reliance and use of the Internet and digital technology. This new digital world is the result of a confluence of many innovations and technology advances. The advancements in technology have made it possible for anyone to work for a company based in London yet live in Spain, acquire whole new personae and sets of friends online overnight, and reach out to a global audience.

Combining the explosive broadband growth and soaring mobile numbers, transition to the digital world has been rapid and innovative. The primary objective of creating the digital world was to reinforce technology, knowledge-centric growth, and human needs through capitalization of the market economy and boosting human development. The online environment may seem easy and fun, but behind the scenes, it is a very complex world. The ever-evolving environments, implementation of test and learn approach, and artificial intelligence play a key role in enhancing the digital experience in this digital world.

According to HubSpot, 91% of adults keep their mobile phones within arm’s reach 24/7 and multiple sources on the internet observe that smartphone users check their phones 150 times a day. The new digital world order brought in a shift from running uncoordinated efforts within silos to launching an integrated operational-improvement program organized around customer journeys when making a purchase or receiving services as well as the internal journeys such as end-to-end processes inside the company. The new reality in the digital age is the ever-increasing customer expectation that digital and mobile services will always be there, wherever and whenever they are needed.

Companies are now creating innovative services for consumers, for industry and government, and for working-class employees and partners. Organizations are also continuously working on giving the structure and process for making sure that incidents, problems, service requests, and changes are handled in the most effective way possible. As the digital marketing and services industry is forever evolving, we as a society are evolving with it. A vast deluge of companies is working with their clients to find the best solutions for their business and budget, from a few minor adjustments to a full design and campaign.
