Human resources is the division of a company that is focused on activities relating to employees. They typically make up the workforce of an organization. The human-resources department of an organization performs tasks that involve overseeing various aspects of employment, such as compliance with labour law and employment standards, administration of employment benefits, recruitment and dismissal of employees. A human resources department is a critical component of employee well-being no matter how small.

Human resource is also a field focused on maximizing employee productivity. The HR department also ensures that employees are trained and have continuous development. This is done through training programs, performance evaluations and reward programs. Therefore, all in all, the main priority of the human resources is the welfare of the employees in an organization.
