When social media sites are used to gain traffic or attention to any product or company or services, it simply refers to social media marketing. It’s a form of internet marketing and its goal is to create content that will attract users and will make them share it with their social network. This helps a company to get an exposure to its brand and meet the targets of customer reach. It’s a strategy to draw target audience and new, unique visitors to a website and this can be done with the help of Social Media Optimization. This can be either done by the process of RSS feeds or sharing buttons, i.e by adding social media links to contents, or by promoting activities like sharing posts, updating statuses or tweets or by blog posts.
